  • Is the NEW TESTAMENT anti-Semitic?

The Jews are invariably depicted in the NT as the most despicable people not worth associating with. It is almost impossible to believe that the NT writers were Jews unless they were in contempt of their own Jewish roots. This is why they document their narration in third person. For sample…

Matthew 28:15 (NIV) So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day. (If I were an honest Jewish writer of the NT, I would write, “… And this story has been widely circulated among our people to this very day.”)

Mark 7:3 (NIV) The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders. (Here, I would write, “The Pharisees and all of us do not eat unless we give our hands a ceremonial washing…”)

Luke 7:3 (NIV) The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. (We know that Luke was a Greek outsider, not a Jew. He never in his life saw Jesus, either. Luke 1:3)

John 8:44-48 (NIV) (Christ said) You (i.e. the Jews) belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you (i.e. the Jews) do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? (OF COURSE, ANY JEW CAN!) If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you (i.e. the Jews) do not hear is that you (i.e. the Jews) do not belong to God." The Jews (i.e. the Jews) answered him, "Aren't we right in saying that you are a Samaritan and demon-possessed?"

1 Thessalonians 2:14-15 (NIV) For you, brothers, became imitators of God's churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own countrymen the same things those churches suffered from the Jews, who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to all men.

Saint Paul wrote most of the NT. He is very subtle denouncing the Jews as being prophet killers and “hostile to all men.” Occasionally he may have some good words about them, but it is only a decoy. Down in his heart he must have hated them because they didn’t agree with him.

Christ himself never ever called his own Jewish mother, “mother,” but from the beginning he called her, “woman.” In fact, he used his last piercing shrieks hanging from the cross to disassociate himself from his Jewish “woman,” too.

John 19:26-27 (KJV) When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own [home].

What the MSS says is that John took the Virgin Mary to be her own mother. The word “home” is not in the original MSS. The KJV added “home” to favor decency. Christ (i.e. the failed messiah) didn’t introduce himself to Pontius as the “King of the Jews.” Pontius inquired about that, but Jesus was hesitant to admit it. In essence, Christ excused himself saying that his kingdom “was not of this world.” He didn’t make any direct statement associating himself with the Jews, or being a savior to them, either. He blamed them for his arrest, even though he set up Judas to do it.

John 18:36 (NIV) Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews (i.e. “by my own people!”). But now my kingdom is from another place."

Christ speaks as if he weren't a Jew. He whines denouncing the Jews as being his “captors.” He never confessed that he was the one setting up Judas, or that NOBODY was really taking his life, but himself. Jesus Christ will have plenty to answer at the judgment day!

John 10:17-18 (NIV) The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life--only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father."

If that is the case then why is it that Paul blames the Jews for the death of Christ? Jesus provoked his own death on his own accord. It hardly takes a couple of neurons to figure out that Christ planned it so that the Jews would be guilty of not only betraying him, but also for his death by the Romans. Christ is supposed to have had enough clairvoyance to know that his action would make the Jews responsible for his death and that millions of them would die over the next 2000 years paying for it.

That is what Christ did, “I lay it down of my own accord.” He planned the way he was going to die independently from his “father.” The writers of the NT forget that Yahweh has no permanent quarrel with Israel, but only a fleeting upset. Paul was quick to come up with a “bride of Christ” substitute for Israel. He did it ignoring the Sacred Scriptures.

Numbers 23:21 * He (i.e. Almighty Yahweh) hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: Yahweh his Elohim is with him, and the shout of a king is among them (i.e. the true HaMaschiach.)

Isaiah 54:5-8 * For your Maker is your husband-- Yahweh Almighty is his name-- the Sacred One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the Elohim of all the earth. Yahweh will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit-- a wife who married young, only to be rejected," says your Elohim. "For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you," says Yahweh your Redeemer.

Christ does not fill in the role of the one who has compassion on Israel. He summarily condemned the Jews to Hell without any recourse. Nowhere in the Tanakh are we told to believe in anyone in order to be saved. We are told that HaMaschiach will bring peace and prosperity for the Jews and for everybody in the world, not the near annihilation that Christ brought about against the Jews. Obviously, Christ was powerless “to save” the Jews. He also failed to dissuade Judas from betraying him. Actually, he set him up. Jesus never expected the Jews to be “saved.” He made them really guilty for the murders in the world. Even for the ones that happened before there was any Jew in the world.

Matthew 23:33-36 (NIV) "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. I tell you the truth, all this will come upon this generation.

I ask myself objectively, when did the Jews ever crucify anyone? When did they flog anyone in their synagogues? I don't see any hope in Christianity, just lies! Christ is not on record praying for the transgressors. He prayed for himself a lot and asked his disciples to join him. He was sweating blood in fear for his life. He became incoherent.

Matthew 26:40-46 (NIV) Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour?" he asked Peter. "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." He went away a second time and prayed, "My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done." When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing. Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us go! Here comes my betrayer!"

Christ’s cowardice prayer was answered. According to the NT rules Jesus didn’t seem to have the guts to complete the prescribed dose of suffering “for the sins of the world,” Paul did. He even got the stigmata. If Christ ever interceded with “loud cries and tears” for anyone it was for himself, not for the Jews! Without Paul, Christianity wouldn’t exist today, and millions of Jews would be alive today.

Hebrews 5:7 (NIV) During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

Colossians 1:24 (NIV) Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ's afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.

Galatians 2:20 (NIV) I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 6:17 (NIV) Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.

      Hi Stranger
      You quoted:
      John 8:44
You are from father diabolo and the lusts of your father you desire to do...
This verse is an excellent example showing how the Greek Scriptures (NT) are in opposition to the Hebrew Scriptures (OT). According to the Hebrew Scriptures the Israelites are YHUH'S children.
      Exodus 4:22
Israel is my child/son, my firstborn is Israel.
So, if the Jews here in this verse are the children of the Israelites spoken of in the Hebrew Scriptures, then the author of the book of John is mocking YHUH and calling him diabolo.

        Shalom Sandy,

You forgot to add the most shocking and daring statement in the NT about who Jesus is...

The NT says that Jesus is the "only begotten son of the father" (John 3:16, and so on) It doesn't leave room for any other child! This is in contrast to your quote of Exodus 4:22 "Israel is my child/son, my firstborn is Israel." According to the Greek books of the NT Jesus is the ONLY begotten son that the Almighty ever had. How corrupt can the NT get?

        Shalom Spying,

The "solution" is simple. YHWH is the only savior! He never asked any human sacrifice to atone anyone's sins. In the next few days I will post my thoughts about Yahweh's way of salvation. Briefly, it is based on Yahweh's mercy at the judgment day. The Christian grace bit is assurance that regardless of one's sins, one is forgiven by believing in Jesus. Mercy needs to wait until judgment day. So in the meantime walk in fear and trembling before Yahweh Almighty! Obey his commandments and love him above all, and your neighbor as yourself!

          Wow...!

Sandy... Just a minute ago I figured out what you were saying. It didn't click the first time I read it...
So, if the Jews here in this verse are the children of the Israelites spoken of in the Hebrew Scriptures, then the author of the book of John is mocking YHUH and calling him diabolo.
You are so right! I'm glad I came back here to look up a reference. I should slow down when I read the messages. I certainly thank you for your comments. Although, I would like to believe that they did it in ignorance because it surely is a hugemongous offense to our Creator to say the least. In any case, this is another proof that the NT was not inspired by an infallible Ruach.
