Was JESUS a real weirdo???
I thought I share with you here, too, some things that started to really bother me. I'm expanding the thought that I posted in a previous message at another forum. Why didn’t Jesus just walk right up to the Romans to demand, "Let my people free!"? Actually, he stated that, “my kingdom is not of this world,” thus he disassociated himself from the very people that he came to save, the Jews. It would have been like facing Satan and telling him, "Let my people free!" If Jesus had walked straight up to the Romans it would have been something far more honorable than to force the Jews to be guilty of his death. He didn't have to push a little known Jewish man by the name of Judas to go ahead and betray him quickly. Jesus was allegedly not only intelligent but clairvoyant, too. If Jesus wanted to die all by himself like he said he would. He could have managed to make the Romans the only responsible party of his death. Thus he could have saved millions of Jews ever since Christianity was invented.
John 10:18 (NIV) No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father."
So far, I can clearly see that Jesus framed the Jews to make them appear guilty of his death. Jesus also provoked a whole bunch of Jews to demand that he be crucified. If Jesus would have played the real freedom fighter role of a truly professional messiah I am sure he would have had the support of the masses. He could have done what another great liberator has done walking straight up to King Pharaoh and looking right at his face demanded, "Let my people go!" Moshe succeeded, but Jesus opted for pushing a little nobody Jew like Judas to "go ahead and betray me quickly." This is such a queer approach to playing the manly HaMaschiach role that it is no joke. I'm thinking that Jesus must have disappointed the Jews so much that they got fed up with him and requested him to be crucified. Although this is highly unlikely, I can’t really picture the Jews going to the Heathen to have one of their own killed. Apart from being an abomination to Yahweh for giving one's life "for a friend" Jesus stuck his finger into Yahweh's eye by putting the Jews in a bad light before the whole world in his scheme to die.
Zechariah 2:8 * For this is what Yahweh Almighty says: "After he has honored me and has sent me against the nations that have plundered you--for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye--
9 I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them. Then you will know that Yahweh Almighty has sent me.
10 "Shout and be glad, O Daughter of Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you," declares Yahweh.
11 "Many nations will be joined with Yahweh in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that Yahweh Almighty has sent me to you.
Question: How do I know to recognize the true HaMaschiach of Israel?
Answer: By checking the delivery record.
The most unusual fact recorded in the NT is that the Jews were requesting that Jesus’ blood be on them and their children... this is certainly a most unusual request of fellow Jews before the Heathen. They wanted to be "covered by Jesus' blood." Funny that Jesus didn’t pray to his "father," "Forgive them because they know not what they are asking." Don't you think so? In all this, can you think of Judas' innocent widow, and children? Judas was probably a family man who must have hated his own family just like the rest of the disciples did, including Jesus. Jesus publicly disassociated himself from his parents. Even when hanging from the cross he had enough stamina in between excruciating shrieks to publicly disassociate himself from his own mother. He called her "woman" and declared that she was someone else's mother. Jesus knew the word “mother,” but he never used it with his earthly mother. I’m sure that the Virgin Mary must have “treasured in her heart” Jesus’ attitude about her. As you well know, Jesus was teaching that unless you HATE your mother and father and the rest of your family you do not qualify to be his disciple. I know, I know, you are going to tell me that Jesus didn’t mean what he said… but wait, maybe Jesus meant to hate only Jewish parents. There is no record about it, so maybe that must be it.
Luke 14:26 (NIV) "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life--he cannot be my disciple.
Matthew 12:46 (NIV) While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him.
47 Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you."
48 He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?"
49 Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers.
50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."
13:1 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake.
And there is NO RECORD WHATSOEVER in all that follows that Jesus EVER saw his mother and his brothers that day! Actually Jesus’ mother and brothers came to pick him up because they thought that he was nuts, according to Mark 3:21. Jesus is known to teach not only by word but by example, too. I don't know about Yahushua, but at times Jesus was very much anti-HaTorah in his ministry. He was teaching to hate one's parents. He encouraged Judas to betray him. He was teaching everybody to eat his flesh and drink his blood, otherwise there is no salvation. He was teaching men to castrate themselves, "for the kingdom sake." That is only spiritually speaking, some Christian men will assert. All this is contrary to HaTorah. Some “theo”logians believe that Jesus departed from the rabbinical interpretation of HaTorah and that he didn't mean what he said, but I want a more solid ground on where to set my foot. Is seems that Christianity is a swamp. The more I look at it the swampier it gets.
