The beginning of the letter says this.
THE IMMORTALITY LETTER
June 16, 1999
Dear Pastor Livingston,
I am a Christian who enjoys listening to the afternoon Glimpse Of Calvary radio broadcast on WGNZ-Dayton during my forty-minute
drive to General Motors.
I have enjoyed listening to many inspira-
tional sermons preached by both you and your father, respectively.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, April 14th, I was listening to the re- cording of your sermon about Mary, the sister of Martha, anointing
the feet of Jesus with the ointment of spikenard. During the course
of this sermon, you stated, "Death is certain." That statement of
yours lit a fuse in me. I thought, "Jesus never taught that. How
could the pastor believe that? He’s a learned man of God who has studied the scriptures." Some time later I had a flash of insight and thought, "I have to tell him.
nearing the end of this letter he writes.
while i may not agree [as yet] on all points here...nonetheless i agree on LIFE NOW and the truth about the Gospel of the Saviour- why, even the name SAVIOUR, tells us all ''what it is about''.

Hebrews 9:27
The best possible scriptural argument I can think of which people
will use to argue against physical immortality is Hebrews 9:27, where
we read –
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this
the judgment."
Rebuttal To Hebrews 9:27
Upon careful examination of the scriptures, we find that our obligatory
appointment with death may be realized through water baptism.
Please consider the following scriptures:
Romans 6:3 – "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized in-
to Jesus Christ were baptized INTO HIS DEATH."
Romans 6:4 – "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism INTO DEATH: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory
of the Father, even so WE ALSO SHOULD WALK IN NEWNESS
OF LIFE."
Colossians 2:12 – "BURIED WITH HIM in baptism, wherein also YE
ARE RISEN WITH HIM through the faith of the operation of God,
who hath raised him from the dead."
When we are baptized, we are baptized into the death of Jesus
Christ.
This is meant to be taken literally, not figuratively or symbolically.
Water baptism thus constitutes the fulfillment of our obligatory appointment with death, as mentioned in Hebrews 9:27.
In the future, I envision Christians rising up out of the baptismal
fount and declaring for all to hear, "I CLAIM MY PHYSICAL IMMORTALITY THROUGH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST."
