Mankind has been WORKING for the last six days also (6000 years-a day is as a 1000 years), and mankind's WORK is sin. Elohim would like for mankind to follow Him in RESTING from their WORK, and the Seventh Day is very important for mankind to enter INTO a REST from their "work" of sin. There is a COMING Seventh Day REST, and it is the 1000 year SABBATH DAY of Yehovah, Yehovah's DAY. In this 1000 year day, mankind will cease from the heavy labor of sinning, and LEARN to do what is right (or else they will perish). The Messiah and His Body will be in charge INSTEAD of Satan and his demons (they will be bound for this Sabbath Day/1000 years), and Messiah and His Body will be the "invisible" INFLUENCE to compel mankind to rest from sin, on The Seventh Day Sabbath.

This brings us to WHY Elohim GAVE the Sabbath Day to the Children of Israel. The Children of Israel were slaves in Egypt, and Egypt is symbolic of SIN, and Elohim delivered this People OUT of Egypt, and MADE a marriage covenant with THEM. Now, just as a husband and wife give each other RINGS to signify they belong to one another, so also Elohim GAVE His wife a RING. That ring was The Sabbath Day. The Sabbath Day was/is a signet ring so that Elohim's WIFE would be set apart from ALL the other peoples of the land, and be blessed:

I want to personally thank you for establishing this thread. As a believer that all should remember the physical Sabbath Day to keep it holy, this is my pledge to you. I shall work to answer on this thread the questions which you say that I hate; although, not in the manner that you might expect, nor in the timetable that you might think appropriate.

Please allow me to begin with this statement of my Messiah Yahushua:

Mark 2:27-28
27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for the man, and not the man for the sabbath:
28 Therefore the Son of the man and of the Sabbath is Kurios.

As far as I am aware, Yahushua never refers to HIMSELF as “the Son of Man”. In every case that I have checked in the Greek New Testament, Yahushua is always quoted in referring to HIMSELF with this phrase “the Son of the Man”. In the above verse (28), Yahushua indicates that HE is also the Son of the Sabbath. This carries great significance whenever you consider this testimony of the Apostle John concerning Yahushua:

John 1:3
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Now pay attention right here, my dear LadyLucySmith. Yahushua above (verse 27) indicates that the Sabbath was made, and Genesis 2 tells us how it was made. In Genesis 2 it is referred to as the Seventh Day, and it is made by YEHOVAH ELOHIM resting from all HIS creative work. It is very silly to think as do you yourself that YEHOVAH ELOHIM rested on every day. YEHOVAH ELOHIM only rested on the Seventh Day, and it is the Seventh Day that YEHOVAH blessed and made holy. And here is the real significance of the scriptures above. The reason why Messiah Yahushua can refer to HIMSELF as the Son of the Sabbath is that HE HIMSELF made the Sabbath Day.

That being the case, why is it that you yourself and your family do not follow in HIS footsteps and rest from your work on the Sabbath Day? I am,
