YH'SHWH'S LAW
ROM 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Don’t you know how the LAW has authority over one as long as one is alive.
___
ROM 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
A woman is restricted by the LAW to her husband as long as he lives. When he is dead, she is released of those restrictions.
___
ROM 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
If she is married to another man while her husband is still alive, she will be called an adulteress; but, if her husband is dead, she is free from the restriction of the LAW. She is not an adulteress, though she is married to another man.
___
ROM 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Why, my FAMILY, you who have become dead to the LAW by BEING the BODY of CHRIST; should you be married to another, but to HIM WHO is RAISED from the dead, that we should produce FRUIT of GOD?
___
ROM 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
Because when we were carnal, the actions of sin,
by the LAW, were working through our physical members producing fruit of death.
___
ROM 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
But now we have been released from the LAW, not existing in death,
and we should serve in a new LIFE of HIS SPIRIT,
and not in carnal/death following the LAW.
___
ROM 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
So, should we say that the LAW is sin? GOD forbid.
I would not know what sin is if the LAW did not say it is sin.
I would not know lust, except by the fact that the LAW says, “Thou shall not covet.”
___
ROM 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
But sin, set in motion by the COMMANDMENT, created in me all sorts of desires/lusts.
Because without the LAW, I did not know that it was sin.
___
ROM 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
I was alive without the LAW: but when the COMMANDMENT came,
I saw sin in me and I had to die.
___
ROM 7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
The COMMANDMENT that was to give me LIFE, I found to be my death.
___
ROM 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
For sin, set in motion by the COMMANDMENT, fooled me, and was killing me.
___
ROM 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Why, the LAW is HOLY and the COMMANDMENT HOLY, JUST and GOOD.
___
ROM 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Does this mean that that which is good is death to me? GOD forbid.
But for me to see sin, that was death to me,
that “sin” had to be shown “really sinful” to me by the COMMANDMENT.
___
ROM 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Because we know that the LAW is SPIRITUAL, but I am carnal, a slave to sin.
___
ROM 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Because I do the things I shouldn’t, I do not do what I should, but what I hate - I do.
___
ROM 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
So if I know that I do that which I shouldn’t, I am agreeing with the LAW that the LAW is GOOD.
___
ROM 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Now, I realize that it is sin in me that drives me to do it.
___
ROM 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Because I know that in me (carnal self), there is nothing that is good.
I know I have choice/a will, but I cannot choose/will something that is not in carnal me.
___
ROM 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Because the good that I want to do - I don’t do it; but the evil that I don’t want to do – I do.
___
ROM 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Now, if I am doing what I don’t want to do, I know that it is the sin in me.
___
ROM 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
I find, then, a LAW, that when I do good, I realize that there is evil in me.
___
ROM 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Because I delight in the LAW of GOD that is after the inward human.
___
ROM 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
(inward man)
I see another law in my members warring against the law of my mind, and making me a slave to the law of sin, in my members.
ROM 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
I am evil! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
___
ROM 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
I thank GOD, JESUS CHRIST, our LORD.
I conform my mind, myself, to serve the LAW of GOD,
even though my carnal self follows the law of sin.
___
ROM 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
So, there is no condemnation to them who are in CHRIST JESUS,
who do not follow the carnal self, but follow HIS SPIRIT.
___
ROM 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Because the LAW of the SPIRIT of LIFE in CHRIST JESUS
has made me free from the law of sin and death.
___
ROM 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
Because what the LAW could not do, in my weakness of carnal self,
GOD, in HIS SON, who was in the likeness of carnal sin,
condemned sin in the carnal self.
___
ROM 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
That the RIGHTEOUSNESS of the LAW is fulfilled in US who follow HIS SPIRIT and not our carnal self.
___
ROM 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Because they that follow carnal self do carnal things, but they that follow HIS SPIRIT do things of HIS SPIRIT.
___
ROM 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because to be carnal minded is death, but to BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED is LIFE and PEACE.
___
ROM 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Because the carnal mind is an enemy of GOD, because it does not submit to the LAW of GOD, neither can it.
___
ROM 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
So, they that are carnal minded cannot please GOD.
ROM 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
