  • Religion-based medical neglect

    Hi everyone,

I'm doing research on religiously-based medical neglect of children. Can someone, who understands this issue, please explain some of the theological beliefs that support such issues as blood-less surgery, and faith healing.

I'm arguing both sides of the debate for an ethics paper, and it's easy to argue for the side of seeking medical care, but there is not a lot of information in current research that explains the justification of such neglect from a religious standpoint. For instance, what is the religious basis for refusing to get a child immunized?

And, remember, I'm not my Dad, so please explain in "English". (Ha).

    Please write back soon.
    Sorry for the short notice.
