Hi Everyone,
YAH willing, my wife and myself, along with whatever part of my family that desires to come, will be attending the 2003 Feast of Tabernacles next year at the Lake of the Ozarks. This site is hosted by the Mid-Missouri Church of God. Duke Schneider is the Feast coordinator. He is also an Elder, and he is a fine gentleman, and he and his brethren are all gatherers.
My wife and I were extremely impressed by the hospitality of the Mid-Missouri Church of God, and we were also impressed by the gifts demonstrated by this small assembly in service to Messiah and to the Brethren.
Mid-Missouri Church of God celebrates the Holy Days according to the calculated calendar so the first high day will be October 11th and the Last Great Day will be October 18th. I myself prefer to establish the Holy Days by the New Moons, but for now, I will hang my hat with the Mid-Missouri Church of God. They were able to pull a number of small assemblies together in peace and fellowship. Some believed in using the Sacred Names; others did not, but all tolerated each other rather well.
If you are looking for a fellowship and a location in which to keep the feast next year, you could not do better than the site sponsored by the Mid-Missouri Church of God.
The theme of this past feast at the Lake of the Ozarks was "Our God Reigns". I was not a scheduled speaker at the feast, but Mr. Schneider did request that I be prepared to speak as an alternate should the need arise. The need did not arise, but I did prepare a sermon just in case. The posts following this initial post will outline that sermon. Hoping to meet some of you at the feast next year, I remain,
Sincerely yours, Spying
