  • Those Magnificent Sevens!

    Hi Everyone,

I was baptized into the Body of Messiah Yahushua on Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, 1977, by a gracious minister of the Worldwide Church of God. His name was Jack Pyle. Jack didn't know what to make of me. I have learned from others that he was worried that I was psychotic. No doubt, this was due to my preoccupation with mysticism. I saw all sort of correlations between ancient Israel being delivered from Egypt and the members of the Worldwide Church of God being delivered from the sin of this present world. I called this perceived correlation, the Doctrine of Correspondence. I saw Mr. Armstrong as Moses. I saw Stanley Rader as Joshua. I saw myself as Caleb. Hence, my present pseudonym, Spying. I made many predictions concerning the future of the Worldwide Church of God which have not come true so it can clearly be said that I am a false prophet.

I was a member of the WWCG for three years. I was disfellowshipped by Robert Spence for insubordination. I would not accept the Church's teaching on the Passover. Even so, I am very appreciative of the things that I did learn through the work of the WWCG. Perhaps, the greatest teaching that I did learn was that the Seventh Day of the week is the Sabbath, and that this Seventh Day is Saturday and not Sunday. I had been taught my whole life that Sunday was the Sabbath. The Worldwide Church of God has really impacted the traditional Christian Churches in this regard. They were forced to make adjustments in their teaching that Sunday is the Sabbath. They are dead ducks in the water should we find any that still teach that Sunday is the Sabbath.

Our Heavenly Father teaches HIS children little by little. We learn by repetition. There are seven days in a week. Why? The Seventh Day is a Sabbath. Why? Indeed, YAHWEH ELOHIM seems to rather fond of the number "7". Why?

Here are a list of some of the sevens. Can you add more?
    The Seven Days of Creation.
The Seven Days of the Week.
    The Sabbath Day itself.
The Seven Days of Unleavened Bread.
    The Seven Sabbaths of Pentecost.
    The Seven Days of Tabernacles.
The Seven High or Annual Sabbaths.
    The Seven Days of Purification
(the Third and Seventh Day are sprinkling days. Big, huge hint here!)
    The Seven Day Menstrual Cycle.
The Seven Days walking around Jericho.
The Seven Days to consecrate the High Priest and the Priesthood
Is someone working to teach us something about a big picture here? Have a happy Sabbath, Everyone!

    Sincerely, Spying

    Shalom Spying,

"7" , I have been taught denotes "perfection". And it would certainly seem so after your post. (smile)

I just want to inject some more "food for thought" (smile).

right now we are in year 5760 or something like that, according to the Jewish Calander. So... "if" a "1000 years is a day" and a "day a 1000 years." then we are in the "sixth day" where Yah says; "Let us make man in our own image".

Which is also approaching the "7th. day" where Yah
    "rests from His work".

"Maybe" that is why Yahshua says; "pray that your flight not take place on the Sabbath"... because this is when "Yah rests from His work, or fashioning us. What do you think?

I know we "differ" in our understanding of just how far Yahs "fashioning goes"... but really... What do you think?

    Yah bless you.
    love,
    d'

shall a man look to his Maker,

      Wrath Is Coming!

      Hi DeAnna,

May you be blessed! Peter teaches as you do recognize that with YAH a day is like a thousand years:
      2 Pet 3:8-10
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with ADONAI as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 ADONAI is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of YAHWEH will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (KJV)
If a day is truly as a thousand years, then we find ourselves in the sixth day, the day before the Sabbath. You are correct about the creation of the man on this day before the Sabbeth (male and female created HE them). Notice that all beasts of the field are also created on the sixth day. Notice that the man identifies (gives names to the beasts) on the sixth day. Why must Messiah be concerned with naming beasts?

Paul speaks concerning the coming day of YAHWEH in the same manner as Peter:
      1Thes 5:1-3
1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of YAHWEH so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (KJV)
This day is a day of great wrath!
      Rev 6:16-17
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (KJV)
Why DeAnna, does the wrath of ELOHIM come? Why do mercy and forgiveness cease and wrath does come?:
      Rom 2:5-6
      5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: (KJV)
Indeed the righteous judgment of ELOHIM is revealed on the day of wrath. Concerning this day of wrath Messiah said:
      Luke 12:49
49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? (KJV)
It stands to reason that if fire comes with the day of wrath, that the fire of this great wrath must somehow be kindled. How do we kindle fires? If Messiah is a Jew, and he is, then all fires must be kindled before the Sabbath Day begins. How does Messiah go about kindling this fire of his great wrath?

The Sabbath Day or Seventh millennium is just right around the corner as you have noted. If we are to be rendered according to our deeds, how can we expect to escape the coming fire?

      Sincerely, Spying

        Hi Spying,

        Peaceful Sabbath to you brother.

I only have a "minute", so this will be short. (HA!) Yeah.. right. lol

No ..really. I will write more later if I can..
But just a quick thought on the "fire"...
I rather think the "Fire" spoken of, is the "purging" or the yearning/ confusion / sorrowful heart... that we go through when we desire to be "right" with our maker.

Well... just a thought... we can "search it out".
What do you think the "fire" is?
Is it physical fire you think? or does it take place in our spirit?

        Love you lots,
        d'

          Making Fire!

          Hi DeAnna,

May you continue to be blessed and be a blessing!

When I think of fire, I first and foremost think of YAHWEH ELOHIM! Here are just a few of many reasons why!
          Lev 9:23-24
23 And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of YAHWEH appeared unto all the people.
24 And there came a fire out from before YAHWEH, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces. (KJV)

          IKing 18:38-39
38 Then the fire of YAHWEH fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, YAHWEH, he is the ELOHIM; YAHWEH, he is the ELOHIM. (KJV)

          1 Chr 21:26
26 And David built there an altar unto YAHWEH, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon YAHWEH; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering. (KJV)

          2 Chr 7:1
1 Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of YAHWEH filled the house. (KJV)

          Ps 104:4
4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire: (KJV)

          Heb 12:29
29 For our ELOHIM is a consuming fire. (KJV)
There are alot of hints in the above verses. Allow your imagination to wander along these lines: Messiah Yahushua is the King of the Jews. Messiah Yahushua is also the High Priest who has consecrated HIMSELF. The Altar is Messiah and his Assembly. The world through Messiah is the burnt offering. Who supplies the fire?

          Sincerely, Spying

            Sabbath Sprinkling!

            Hi Everyone,

The physical realm shadows the spiritual realm. Physical fire shadows or pictures a spiritual fire. How so? Look at the comments of Paul concerning the suffering of Messiah without the camp:
            Heb 13:11-12
11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
12 Wherefore Yahushua also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. (KJV)
Physical fire burns in a physical sense. Spiritual fire, i.e. suffering, burns in a spiritual sense. I think that some of us have seen, or maybe, are beginning to see that there are many ways to suffer in this life, and some sufferings are more intense than others. I do not know the relationship between suffering and physical fire, but I suspect that when the spirit suffers enough, this suffering can in some fashion cause the physical to burn. This is not beyond our own experience. We are all aware of psychosomatic diseases. The spirit can have a tremendous effect on the physical body. So also do I suspect that in due time the collective spirit of Messiah does have a tremendous effect upon this present world, which is the dead body of Messiah.

            Messiah said:
            Matt 24:21-22
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. (KJV)
Here is the same account in Mark:
            Mark 13:20
20 And except that YAHWEH had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. (KJV)
What days were Messiah thinking of as he contemplated their shortening? Are these the days of a week? Are these the days of Unleavened Bread? Are these the days of Tabernacles. How long is a day? In the physical, a day is 24 hours. In the spiritual, a day is a 1000 years. Why, when we read the above verses, should we think that Messiah is speaking of physical days?

Take this for what it is worth, but Messiah is not speaking of physical days. Messiah is teaching about the spiritual week. He is teaching about the seven thousand years. In Matthew and Mark, Messiah is teaching about spiritual days. YAHWEH shortened the spiritual days by taking time from every day save for the first, the third, and the seventh day. All of the time that was taken from the second, fourth, fifth, and sixth days was given to the third day. Thus, the third spiritual day was a lot longer than a thousand years in length. Notice from the days of purification, that the third day is a sprinkling day (Numbers 19). This sprinkling refers to communication from YAHWEH. This communication began with Noah. It ended with the martyrdom of the first Assembly around the close of the first century.

If I am correct in my thinking here, and I think that I am, then the third day sprinkling began with a flood. A seventh day sprinkling is coming. It is not now far away.

Messiah knew that all flesh save for Noah and his family perished at the beginning of the third day sprinkling. In like manner, Messiah knew that the arrival of the seventh day sprinkling would also not bode well for the flesh of this world. Mankind is the flesh of this world. If the fourth, fifth, and sixth spiritual days had not been shortened, and their time had not been given to the third day, then this world would have been completely destroyed at the beginning of the Sabbath Day, the Seventh Day Sprinkling. As it is, there is now the possibility that some can be saved and enter that rest.

I wonder who it is that will be saved from the fire that is coming? Will you be one of the Elect? Or will you be a scoffer?

            Have a good Sabbath everyone!

            Sincerely, Spying
