Spying, some questions I have about this forum and the new one.

1. Will this forum be incorporated into the new forum?

2. Or will this forum cease to exist along with its threads?

3. Will we still be able to log in using our same user name and password?

Hyssop informed me not long ago that Lo Ammi Forum had grown so large datawise so that we are forced to seek another host for the forum. Of course, my first thought was perhaps that an alternate solution existed. It seemed to me that we could create a whole lot of data space on Lo Ammi by simply removing a number of super threads like this one:

If I were a better dictator, I could simply go through the forum and delete a whole slew of threads like the above and thereby create a whole lot of forum space. I would naturally make exceptions concerning my own threads. Being a dictator does carry with the job certain advantages, does it not? he/he! You see, EliYah, now it is my turn to laugh.

Hyssop told me yesterday that the new host would be vBulletin itself. We pay them so much a month which includes all upgrades and enough space to continue to allow the members of this forum to waste away to your heart's content. The forum itself would be backed up everyday.

When the switch is made, Lo Ammi will be shut down for several days, and, of course, Lo Ammi will then have the lastest version of vBulletin; and, therefore, it is possible that changes will occur which we may or may not like, but neither Hyssop, ImAHebrew, nor myself desire to see anything lost from the earlier versions of Lo Ammi.

Like yourself, I am eager to see the new version of Lo Ammi. Until then, I am,

P.S. Hyssop also told me yesterday that you attempted to sign up on the new forum. You are way ahead of me. I did not even know until yesterday that the new version was out there for awhile.

This forum stopped working yesterday morning, and there is still something wrong with it, because when I sign in with my user name and password, it does not recognize them, and I have to re-type my user name and password in THE BOTTOM section before I can get in.

What does it cost per month to keep this forum running, if ye don't mind me asking you?

And like I offered ye, if ye need help financially just say the word, I will help ye what I can, I may joke around with you and Ken sometimes but I still love ye like brethren though.

PS: Tell Hyssop I said that he does a good job on these forums, and I thank him, you, and Ken for it too.

And Spying, your probably like me on this, I don't like asking anyone for financial help, because they may THINK that ye/we owe them something in return, however, I assure you, that I don't expect anything in return, because if I give, it's from the heart and as this text in Luke 6:35 scripture by Yah Messiah says.

Welcome to the latest version of Lo Ammi, and, yes, Hyssop deserves a whole lot of thanks for all the work he does with the forums. Hyssop is a man of action who is very exact, and he does not tolerate very well inaction in the world of data management. Turn to Tzaddikim Forum where you have spent a little time in the past and see the note that he has left there.

Hyssop informed me that you initially had difficulty in logging in to the new version of Lo Ammi. I had the same difficulty, and Hyssop has taken care of that problem. He is quietly working behind the scenes to correct other issues, and I have the highest respect for his abilities and all the hard work he engages in to ensure that we are able to repeatedly argue with one another on this forum.

Hyssop has since his retirement been working on a scheduling program for a private company. I dream of someday having that program associated with the forums so that members can schedule phone time with the Admin of this forum in order to discuss various issues directly.

I know that you and your family go on vacation after Christmas, but I nonetheless did several times check on the wildfire situation in Queensland, and it does not appear that there are any in your area save for Moreton Island and out west at Crows Nest. Are you getting smoke?

Btw, the English word, Kudos, is a Greek word meaning "glory". It is not found in the Greek New Testament, but it is found in the LXX.
