As Jerusalem became surrounded by the Romans, food became scarce within the walls of the city.
Many of the Jews went by night into the valleys in search of food.
These were caught, “tormented with all sorts of torture” and then crucified in the sight of those on the walls.
About 500 every day were thus killed until the number finally became so great that there was not room enough for the crosses, nor enough crosses for the victims.
Often several were nailed to the same torture stake.
Imagine the torment of those who would see or hear of their loved ones being thus tortured a short distance from the walls.
Many had their hands cut off. (V, 11:1, 2).

“Then did the famine widen its progress, and devoured the people by whole houses and families; the upper rooms were full of women and children dying by famine; and the lanes of the city were full of the dead bodies of the aged; a kind of deadly night, had seized upon the city.” (V, 12:3).

“Thus did the miseries of Jerusalem grow worse and worse every day . . . the multitude of carcasses that lay in heaps one upon another was a horrible sight, and produced a pestilential stench.” (VI, 1:1).

“The number of those that perished by famine in the city was prodigious, and their miseries were unspeakable.
For if so much as the shadow of any kind of food did anywhere appear, a war was commenced presently, and the dearest friends fell fighting one another about it . . .
Children pulled the very morsel that their fathers were eating, out of their very mouths, and what was still more to be pitied, so did the mothers do to their infants: and when those that were almost dead were perishing under their hands, they were not ashamed to take from them the very last drops that might preserve their lives . . .
The seditious . . . also invented terrible methods of torment to discover where any food was, and they were these: to stop up the passages of the privy parts of the miserable wretches, and to drive sharp stakes up their fundaments! and a man was forced to bear what it is terrible even to hear.” (V, 10:3).

One woman of prominence killed her infant son and roasted him.
After eating half of the body, the other half was hid.
Shortly after this, certain seditious Jews came to search her house.
When they smelled the scent of roasted flesh, they threatened to cut her throat immediately if she did not show them what food she had prepared.
She then uncovered the remaining half of the little body, saying: “Come, eat of this food; for I have eaten of it myself!
Do not you pretend to be either more tender than a woman, or more compassionate than a mother.”
But even those hardened men were horrified at the sight and left the house trembling. (VI, 3:4).

Surely these things were a fulfillment of the warning that had been given centuries before.

“The Lord shall bring a nation against thee from far.., a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; a nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young . . . And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down . . . And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters . . . The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward . . . her young one that cometh from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.” (Deut. 28:49-57).

Some who tried to escape from the city after it had been surrounded by the Roman armies, swallowed pieces of gold in order to take them unnoticed.
Word got out that such was being done and many of those who tried to escape were cut open by the enemy to see if they had swallowed any gold.
“Nor does it seem to me that any misery befell the Jews that was more terrible than this, since in one night about 2,000 of these deserters were thus dissected.” (V, 13:4).

Finally the Roman armies broke through the wall and an enraged soldier caught the temple afire.
“While the holy house was on fire, everything was plundered that came to hand, and ten thousand of those that were caught were slain; nor was there a commiseration of any age, or any reverence of gravity; but children, and old men, and profane persons, and priests, were all slain in the same manner . . .
The flame was also carried a long way, and made an echo, together with the groans of those that were slain . . . nor can one imagine anything either greater or more terrible than this noise . . .
Moreover, many, when they saw the fire, exerted their utmost strength, and did break out into groans and outcries . . . Yet was the misery itself more terrible than this disorder; for one would have thought that the hill itself, on which the temple stood, was seething-hot, as full of fire on every part of it, that the blood was larger in quantity than the fire, and those that were slain more in number than those that slew them; for the ground did nowhere appear visible, for the dead bodies that lay on it.” (VI, 5:1).

The burning of the temple is especially significant in that the very date on which it was burned by the armies of Titus, was the same date that Nebuchadnezzar had burned it centuries before!
This seems like more than a mere accident.
“But, as for that house, God had for certain long ago doomed it to the fire, and now that fatal day was come, according to the revolution of the ages: it was the tenth day of the month Ab, upon which it was formerly burnt by the king, of Babylon”! (VI, 4:5).

As the temple burned, the Jews knew all hope for deliverance was gone.
The aqueducts and the city sewers were crowded as the last place of refuge for the hopeless.
When these were searched, two thousand people were found dead there, and those that yet remained alive were dragged from thence and slain.

There were 97, 000 that were sold as slaves and 1,100,000 people that perished during the fierce tribulation of those days. “Now the number of those that were carried captive during the whole war was collected to be ninety-seven thousand; as was the number of those that perished in the whole siege, eleven hundred thousand, the greater part of whom were indeed of the same nation, but not belonging to the city itself; for they were come up from all the country to the feast of unleavened bread, and were on a sudden shut up by an army . . . the multitude of those that therein perished exceeded all the destruction that either men or God ever brought upon the world.” (VI, 9:3, 4).

Josephus summed it up in these words: “I shall therefore speak my mind here at once briefly: — that neither did any other city suffer such miseries, nor did any age ever breed a generation more fruitful in wickedness than this was, from the beginning of the world.” (V, 10:5).

Josephus says the calamities which befell the Jews were “the greatest of all those, not only that have been in our times, but, in a manner, of those that ever were heard of; both of those wherein cities have fought against cities, or nations against nations . . . it appears to me that the misfortunes of all men, from the beginning of the world, if they be compared to these of the Jews, are not so considerable as they were.” (Preface, p. 427).

The scholarly Christian translator of Josephus’ works mentions this in a footnote
: “That these calamities of the Jews, who were our Saviour’s murderers, were to be the greatest that had ever been since the beginning of the world, our Saviour had directly foretold
(Mt. 24:21; Mk. 13:19; Lk. 21:23,24)
and that they proved to be such accordingly, Josephus is here a most authentic witness.” (Preface, p.429).

Pope John Paul II did in fact admit in his globally publicized “mea culpa” that the Roman Catholic church killed hundreds of millions of men women and children because they would not embrace Catholicism over and above the faith of Jesus Christ they learned of in the Bible.
The mea culpa of John Paul II was an actual admission to those that do read their Bibles that the Vatican is truly the home of Antichrist.
The Bible says only one entity will kill the children of the Lord in such a grand scale as this.
Sad thing is, most of the world does not read their Bibles as the prophet Amos predicted for today. (See Amos 8:11)
And most of those that do read bibles are unable to understand prophecy because of multiple reasons.

Jesuit Francisco Rivera invented a system known as the Futurist School of interpretation.
He taught that the antichrist was to be some future superman who would appear near the end of time and continue in power for three and a half years.
It is his clever, unscriptural theory which has been resurrected by modern evangelical Protestant Christians.

And today millions of Baptists, Methodists, Pentecostals, etc., hold this anti-Protestant concoction of the Jesuits as some kind of infallible doctrine.
Yet, those same denominations claim to be faithful supporters of Protestant theology.

Luther and other stalwart protestors against Catholic errors would be astounded if they were suddenly resurrected to hear what is being taught in the name of Protestantism.
In the early 1800s the futurist view of Jesuit Ribera passed through certain refinements and additions, including the seven-year tribulation and the snatching away of the saints.

For the first time, it was espoused by Protestant teachers who were seeking ways of reconciliation with Rome.
Through the influence and writings of John Nelson Darby of the Plymouth Brethren Church in England, the new doctrine spread to the United States.
During the middle and latter nineteenth century, it received its biggest boost from Cyrus Scofield, who incorporated it into the notes of his Scofield Reference Bible published in 1909.

STUDY ''THE OPPOSITION'',

For almost 300 years after the Council of Trent, Jesuit Futurism remained largely inside the realm of Catholicism, but the plan of the Jesuits was that these theological tenets be adopted by Protestants.
This adoption process actually began in the early 1800s in England, and from there it spread to America.
The story of how this happened is both fascinating and tragic.
As I briefly share some of the highlights, I want to clarify that I am not judging the genuineness of these Christian men.
They may have been sincere, yet at the same time deceived in some areas of their theological understanding.

“The Futurism of Ribera never posed a positive threat to the Protestants for three centuries.
It was virtually confined to the Roman Church.
But early in the nineteenth century it sprang forth with vehemence and latched on to Protestants of the Established Church of England.”
Dr. Samuel Roffey Maitland (1792-1866), a lawyer and Bible scholar, became a librarian to the Archbishop of Canterbury.

It is very likely that one day he discovered Ribera’s commentary in the library.
In any event, in 1826 he published a widely-read book attacking the Reformation and supporting Ribera’s idea of a future one-man Antichrist.
For the next ten years, in tract after tract, he continued his anti-Reformation rhetoric.
As a result of his zeal and strong attacks against the Reformation in England, the Protestantism of that very nation which produced the King James Bible (1611) received a crushing blow.

After Dr. Maitland came James H. Todd, a professor of Hebrew at the University of Dublin.
Todd accepted the futuristic ideas of Maitland, publishing his own supportive pamphlets and books.
Then came John Henry Newman (1801-1890), a member of the Church of England and a leader of the famous Oxford Movement (1833-1845).
In 1850, Newman wrote his “Letter on Anglican Difficulties,” revealing that one of the goals in the Oxford Movement was to finally absorb “the various English denominations and parties” back into the Church of Rome.
After publishing a pamphlet endorsing Todd’s futurism about a one-man Antichrist, Newman soon became a full Roman Catholic, and later even a highly honored Cardinal.
Through the influence of Maitland, Todd, Newman, and others, a definite “Romeward movement was already arising, destined to sweep away the old Protestant landmarks, as with a flood.”

Then came the much-respected Scottish Presbyterian minister, Edward Irving (1792-1834), the acknowledged forerunner of both the Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements.
Irving pastored the large Chalcedonian Chapel in London with over 1,000 members.
When Irving turned to the prophecies, he eventually accepted the one-man Antichrist idea of Todd, Maitland, Bellarmine, and Ribera, yet he went a step further.
Somewhere around 1830, Edward Irving began to teach the unique idea of a two-phase return of Christ, the first phase being a secret rapture prior to the rise of the Antichrist.

Where he got this idea is a matter of much dispute.
Journalist Dave MacPherson believes Irving accepted it is a result of a prophetic revelation given to a young Scottish girl named Margaret McDonald
In any case, the fact is, Irving taught it!

Adding to the Futuristic interpretation of prophecy, John Nelson Darby added the theory of dispensationalism, or the idea that God deals with mankind in major dispensations or periods of time.

In the midst of this growing anti-Protestant climate in England, there arose a man by the name of John Nelson Darby (1800-1882).
A brilliant lawyer, pastor, and theologian, he wrote more than 53 books on Bible subjects.
A much-respected Christian and a man of deep piety, Darby took a strong stand in favor of the infallibility of the Bible in contrast with the liberalism of his day.
He became one of the leaders of a group in Plymouth, England, which became known as the Plymouth Brethren.
Darby’s contribution to the development of evangelical theology has been so great that he has been called The Father of Modern Dispensationalism.
Yet John Nelson Darby, like Edward Irving, also became a strong promoter of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture followed by a one-man Antichrist.
In fact, this teaching has become a hallmark of Dispensationalism.

Dispensationalism
is the theory that God deals with mankind in major dispensations or periods.
According to Darby, we are now in the “Church Age,” that is, until the Rapture.
After the Rapture, then the seven-year period of Daniel 9:27 will supposedly kick in, and this is when the Antichrist will rise up against the Jews.
In fact, John Nelson Darby laid much of the foundation for the present popular removal of Daniel’s 70th week away from history and from Jesus Christ in favor of applying it to a future Tribulation after the Rapture.
Thus, in spite of all the positives of his ministry, Darby followed Maitland, Todd, Bellarmine, and Ribera by incorporating the teachings of Futurism into his theology.

This created a link between John Nelson Darby, the Father of Dispen-sationalism, and the Jesuit Francisco Ribera, the Father of Futurism.
Darby visited America six times between 1859-1874, preaching in all of its major cities, during which time he definitely planted the seeds of Futurism in American soil.
The child of the Jesuits was growing up.
Futurism in America

Cyrus Scofield, the famed publisher of the Scofield Reference Bible, liberally interspersed the footnotes of his Bible with large doses of Futurism.
These footnotes are still widely accepted by many theologians today.
One of the most important figures in this whole drama is Cyrus Ingerson Scofield (1843-1921), a Kansas lawyer who was greatly influenced by the writings of Darby.
In 1909, Scofield published the first edition of his famous Scofield Reference Bible.
In the early 1900s, this Bible became so popular in American Protestant Bible schools that it was necessary to print literally millions of copies.

Yet, in the much-respected footnotes of this very Bible, Scofield injected large doses of the fluid of Futurism also found in the writings of Darby, Todd, Maitland, Bellarmine, and Ribera.
Through the Scofield Bible, the Jesuit child reached young adulthood.
The doctrine of an Antichrist still to come was becoming firmly established inside 20th-century American Protestantism.

The Moody Bible Institute and the Dallas Theological Seminary have strongly supported the teachings of John Nelson Darby, and this has continued to fuel Futurism’s growth.
Then in the 1970s, Pastor Hal Lindsey, a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, released his blockbuster book The Late Great Planet Earth.
This 177-page, easy-to-read volume brought Futurism to the masses of American Christianity, and beyond.
The New York Times labeled it “The number one best-seller of the decade.”
Over 30 million copies have been sold, and it has been translated into over 30 languages.
Through The Late Great Planet Earth, Jesuit Futurism took a strong hold over the Protestant Christian world.

Left Behind
Now we have Left Behind.
In the 1990s, Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins took the future one-man Antichrist idea of Hal Lindsey, Scofield, Darby, Irving, Newman, Todd, Maitland, Bellarmine, and Ribera, and turned it into “The most successful Christian-fiction series ever” (Publishers Weekly).
Hal Lindsey’s book, The Late Great Planet Earth, was largely theological, which limited its appeal, while Left Behind is a sequence of highly imaginative novels, “overflowing with suspense, action, and adventure,” a “Christian thriller,” with a “label its creators could never have predicted: blockbuster success” (Entertainment Weekly).
The much-respected television ministries of Jack Van Impe, Peter and Paul Lalonde, and Pastor John Hagee, have all worked together to produce LEFT BEHIND: The Movie.

The entire project has even caught the attention of the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, resulting in an interview of LaHaye and Jenkins on Larry King Live.
The Left Behind books have been made available on displays at WalMart, Fry’s Electronics, and inside countless other stores.

Again, let me clarify, I am not judging the genuineness of the authors of Left Behind and the leaders of these television ministries.
They may be sincere, and have their own walk with God.
But they are deceived into wrong ideas concerning Bible prophecy.
God may even use Left Behind to influence people for Jesus Christ. But, in the full light of Scripture, prophecy, and the Protestant Reformation, something is terribly wrong.
Left Behind is now teaching much of the same Jesuit Futurism as Francisco Ribera, which is hiding the real truth about the Antichrist.

Through Left Behind, the floodgates of Futurism have been opened, unleashing a massive tidal wave of false prophecy which is now sweeping over America.
Sadly, it is a false “idea whose time has come.”

When Martin Luther posted his ‘Ninety-Five Theses‘ in 1517, it was widely regarded as the initial catalyst for the Protestant Reformation.
The Protestant Reformers told people to “come out of her” (Rev. 18:4) and millions left the Roman Catholic Church and received Jesus as their Savior, which led to the formation of the Protestant churches.

The Protestant Reformation led to a Great Awakening, where worldwide missions led to millions of people coming to Jesus.
Satan no doubt was livid as he watched God spread His Holy Word and the saving Gospel around the world, so the deceiver devised a new plan.
The Roman Catholic Church empowered the Jesuits to counter the Reformation.

In 1545, they started meeting at what’s called the Council of Trent. One of its main purposes was to plan a counterattack against Martin Luther and the Protestants.
To do this they empowered the Jesuits, who were a secret Catholic order founded by Ignatius Loyola.
They call themselves the Society of Jesus, but you’ll soon find out that they are the Society of Satan.

Their work was to be done not only through the Inquisition and through torture, but also through theology and deception.
The Catholic Church gave the Jesuits the specific assignment of bringing Protestantism back to the “Mother Church.”
Look at the state of today’s liberal Lutheran church, and you know they’ve been successful.

Central to this plan, was the need to deflect accusations that they were the Antichrist beast system.

why was the modern day ''last day tribulation'' only ''invented'' in 1500s and now has become A THEME for churches and a ''true doctrine''?
for what purpose was it invented + taught as a last day doctrine for the end time churches.

All of the newer 1860s-1960s translations like the N.I.V. R.S.V. etc have removed whole verses, words, and some even whole chapters from their translations, and there are people, I for one, and that have compared these newer translations to the A.V. 1611 O.K.J.V. and the O.K.J V is still the version with the least errors.

Most of the newer translation have removed the verses proving Messiah's Deity, but the AV 1611 OKJV still has it in there.

Anyone can go here below to the B.L.B. and compare the chapters and verses of the newer translations like N.I.V. RSV and so on to the AV 1611 O.K.J.V.

The AV 1611 OKJV is still the best English translation up to date, and all the newer translations I mentioned above and more are made by the Jesuit Freemasons.

Shalom Lucy, did not Yeshua "open" The Scriptures to His Disciples? Were these corrupted, twisted Scriptures from Babylon, that were not "pure?" When Yeshua said that if you do not believe what Moses wrote, you will not believe what He says, do you think He was referring to these twisted Scriptures from Babylon that you believe were existing? P.S. How can the Spirit of Truth guide you into ALL Truth if the Holy Scriptures are as corrupted as you teach? Or how can man LIVE by EVERY WORD that proceeds forth out of the mouth of Yahweh Elohim, if those are corrupt words?
