Maybe it’s time to take the Bible down off of its pedestal, and acknowledge the obvious human handprints on the texts.
Maybe it’s even time to do again what Thomas Jefferson did:
cut the book apart, keep the parts that are worth keeping, and leave the rest on the floor in the cutting room of history.

Both mistakes and intentional changes abound in the surviving manuscripts, making the original words difficult to reconstruct.
For the first time, Ehrman reveals where and why these changes were made and how scholars go about reconstructing the original words of the New Testament as closely as possible.

Ehrman makes the provocative case that many of our cherished biblical stories and widely held beliefs concerning the divinity of Jesus, the Trinity, and the divine origins of the Bible itself stem from both intentional and accidental alterations by scribes -- alterations that dramatically affected all subsequent versions of the Bible.

Hi Lucy, those who have "ears" to hear, and "eyes" to see, understand that the Law of Moses has TWO ways in which it can be accomplished. By WORKS...the physical doing of the Law, or by FAITH, the Spiritual DOING of the Law. But to see and hear the "Spiritual" DOING of the Law, it helps if one has the Spirit that was GIVEN to Yeshua, which He then shared with His Elect. Having the Law of Moses "opened" up to "see" and "hear" the Spiritual, is The Gospel. This Gospel is not and has not been understood by you, traditional christianity, Herbert, Ellen, and for the most part even Eliyahu. If you are EVER going to start to LEARN about the One True Gospel, you will need to change your attitude about Yahweh and Moses. Ken

Lucy, we have had almost 2000 years of delusion and darkness as evil men corrupted the One True Gospel. This was predicted and warned of by Yeshua, the Prophets, and The Assembly. Yeshua even told us that the WORK of Elohim is getting mankind to BELIEVE in the One whom He has sent:

Jn 6:29 Yeshua answered and said unto them, This is the WORK of Elohim, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent.

Yet, Yeshua informed us that NO WORK would be accomplished when the "night" cometh after His departure:

Jn 9:4 I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

It has been NIGHT for almost the last 2000 years, and NO WORK (believing on the One whom He has sent) has been accomplished, as FIERCE wolves attacked, and did not spare the flock.
