Who Wrote The Book Of Hebrews?

I have a dear brother in the faith, that called, said and asked me-quote: ""I have had a number of people questioning me lately on exactly who wrote the book of Hebrews, and you with your memory should be able to examine the internal scriptural evidence, if there is any at all, your a person who can find it."" Unquote.

I told him then, that I thought a believer who heard the Apostles wrote the book of Hebrews.

He said ""Well, this still does not tell us who wrote it.""

So, I agreed to examine the book of Hebrews in depth, and compare other scriptures with it, to ascertain any internal scriptural evidence of who could have wrote it, and to do so with an open mind.

Here below is only one piece of internal scriptural evidence that I have found in that in depth investigation of the book of Hebrews compared to other Epistles.

In the last chapter of the book of Hebrews, the writer says this below.

Know you that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you. Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you. Hebrews 13:23-24.

Italy is in Rome, and the name Timothy is indeed mentioned here.

Paul mentioned Timothy in about all of His Epistles.

This is ONLY one piece of internal scriptural evidence that Paul wrote the book of Hebrews.

Well, I guess the anti-Paul haters, will also have to throw the book of Hebrews out too?

Lucy, I stopped even listening, when he-this man himself started quoting Paul's Epistles with the NAME Timothy in them, and he IGNORES the NAME Timothy that is used and mentioned in Hebrews 13:23-24.

Now why did this man ignore this? Another one of those fakes out there-again.

Oh I agree the book of Hebrews is an awesome book, and when I'm finished with this thread, everyone will know that Paul is its author too.

The name Timothy and Timotheus is the same name in the Greek G5095.

yes it was a shame i felt

to have an awesome revelation and then swing backwards.
this does seem to happen a lot in ministry I have found....
it seems the revelation happens then, a change happens too... they go backwards, into sin or unbelief or revert back to traditional church doctrines.
how many good revs have come to pass only to find the minister has great sin within and gets found out
I wondered why this is so,

I am on the verge of discovering why this happens.


This faux pas saddens me greatly in writing this, for I know that there are many sincere preachers out there who have not been taught the true doctrine of Christ.
They have run with hand-me-down rags of man’s reasonings about Christ and have not been clothed with the true robe of righteousness found in His truth.

It saddens me that they have been duped into thinking that whatever biblical training they have received is all there is.
In reality they have been fed stale crumbs of doctrine which are unable to nourish them up into full grown men of God!
And so Christ’s question to us resounds:

“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?” (Matt. 24: 45).


What will it take for us to wake up and seek the “meat” of the word?

Then why are you wanting to argue over "the meat of the word" that I present to you? This is all I give, is THE WRITTEN WORD ITSELF.
