    Eternal life....pt 3

    continued from previous post...

The life of Jesus is to be made “manifest” in our mortal body by the power of God. We are to keep the “daily” sacrifice….bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus who loved us and gave His life as a sacrifice.

    2 Corinthians 4:10-11 KJV
    (10) Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

We are to keep the “daily” sacrifice so that the life of Jesus will be made “manifest” in our mortal flesh.

    (11) For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

The “daily” sacrifice is to walk in love as Christ also has loved us and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor.

    Ephesians 5:1-8 KJV
    (1) Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
    (2) And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

But a deceitful tongue that speaks through covetousness should not be named once among us. Covetousness is the “abomination of desolation” that should not be standing in the holy place…it should not be once named among us as becoming saints.

    (3) But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
    (4) Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

We can not be partakers with those who call themselves “brothers” but are covetous. If we keep company with them, then we are perishing along with them…never seeing and having an inheritance in the coming age because we die off from the face of the earth.

    (5) For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
    (6) Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
    (7) Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
    (8) For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

We are not to “company” with “fornicators”….those who use their tongues to speak guile in order to satisfy their hidden covetousness (the abomination of desolation).

    1 Corinthians 5:9-11 KJV
    (9) I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
    (10) Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
    (11) But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

If we keep company with those who call themselves “brothers” but are covetous, then we are perishing right along with them as our flesh decays away to the grave. He that is joined with them is ONE FLESH. As they destroy, we are being destroyed by keeping company with them as we are involved in their idolatrous worshipping. They defile the flesh.

    1 Corinthians 6:15-19 KJV
    (15) Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
    (16) What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
    (17) But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
    (18) Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
    (19) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

If any man defile the temple of God with his covetous teachings, him shall God destroy. If we sit with them, we are being defiled in the mortal body and are perishing away to the grave because of the “abomination of desolation” which is covetousness.

Their works are being made manifest….as they all have suffered loss. Their mortal bodies are dying….as the flesh is being destroyed so that their spirits may be saved. We have “churches” full of sick and dying people because they come together not for the better. They are perishing sheep…. “lost” sheep. We have MANY church cemeteries full of dead people as proof that their church ways and thoughts do not save.

    1 Corinthians 3:14-18 KJV
    (14) If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
    (15) If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
    (16) Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
    (17) If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
    (18) Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

When we read and UNDERSTAND this, we are to FLEE from covetousness….from those who call themselves “brothers” but are covetous. By keeping company with such, we are perishing away to the grave. We are to flee to His mountains of righteousness.

    Matthew 24:15-18 KJV
    (15) When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand
    (16) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

We are to FLEE from covetousness….leaving it all behind.

    (17) Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
    (18) Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

We are not to take men’s flattering words with us as a “cloke” of covetousness.

    1 Thessalonians 2:3-6 KJV
    (3) For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:
    (4) But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
    (5) For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:
    (6) Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

We are to believe....the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead shall also "quicken" our MORTAL BODIES by His Spirit if we do not live after the flesh. "Mortal" means "LIABLE TO DIE"....meaning we shall not die first but only being liable to die at the moment. Our "liable to die" bodies shall be made truly ALIVE in the here and now...and not "after we die and go to heaven" as popularly taught in churches who are keeping their covenant with death and their agreement with the grave.

    Romans 8:11-14 KJV
    (11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
    (12) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
    (13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
    (14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

    Eternal life....pt 2

    continued from previous post...

We are to hear the Word of God preached in sincerity...being "born again". We are to be born from above....what we hear being preached to our ears. The ears are above our own hearts. All flesh is as grass which withers away. The glory of man falls away. But if we DO the Word of the Lord, we shall ENDURE "for ever"....to the age...in the here and now. Death shall have no power over us if we make His Word flesh...by doing it.

    1 Peter 1:23-25 KJV
    (23) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
    (24) For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
    (25) But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

But we have to believe on His name....His authority. We are to receive His words of life and spirit which are higher than our own. We are to believe in what we hear with our ears...being born from above where the words enter into our ears and are planted within our hearts. We are to DO His Word...having love for one another....thereby, making it flesh so that He shall dwell in us and we can behold His glory.

    John 1:12-14 KJV
    (12) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
    (13) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
    (14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

We can have the form of godliness but deny its power. We can say we believe that the Christ is the Son of God which comes into the world but deny that He IS the resurrection and the life in the here and now. He that believes in Him if he dies (bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus), he shall LIVE….eternal life….life to the age.

    John 11:23-28 KJV
    (23) Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
    (24) Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
    (25) Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Whosoever lives and believes in Him…doing what He says, shall not die…to the age. The Greek does not say “never die”….but instead “shall not die…to the age”. We are to be like Caleb and believe and live to see the “promised land”…the coming age in which the earth shall be covered with His glory.

    (26) And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

But we can have the form of godliness but deny its power to keep us alive in the here and now because of a lack of FAITH.

    (27) She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

Martha after saying this “went her way”. She called Mary “secretly”….almost seeming ashamed of His testimony. Yet, we are not to be ashamed of His testimony as He brings to light that He has abolished death and brought forth life and immortality for us now.

    (28) And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.

Is this a “hard saying”? Those who will eat of the “bread” ….His words of life and spirit….shall LIVE…to the age (“for ever”).

    John 6:58-63 KJV
    (58) This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
    (59) These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

MANY of His disciples when they heard this, said “this is a hard saying”. They could not “hear it”…that is, could NOT BELIEVE in what they heard.

    (60) Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
    (61) When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

What if our flesh (or rather His flesh as we are His flesh and bones) ascend up where He was before? What if His words of life and spirit cause us to regain our former glory…the youth we had once before the world “began” to defile our flesh? The “shadow” went backward 10 steps up the sundial.

    (62) What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
    (63) It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Yet, many disciples “went back” and walked no more with Him because of their UNBELIEF. They refused to hear His words of life and spirit that we are to “eat” and have “eternal life” in the here and now. Where is the promise of His coming for all things continue being the same as all the fathers have died?

    John 6:66-69 KJV
    (66) From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
    (67) Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

The true disciples stuck with Him by believing His words of “eternal life”….and believing that He is the Anointed, the Son of the LIVING God. They kept His words in their hearts. Not only did they have the form of godliness in their believing…but they DID His words of “eternal life” by keeping them.

    (68) Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
    (69) And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

Is anything too hard for the God of all FLESH?

    Jeremiah 32:27 KJV
    (27) Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

    started a topic Eternal life.....pt 1

    Eternal life.....pt 1

“Eternal life” is in the here and NOW. Our Savior Jesus Christ has “abolished” death…that is, rendering it idle…. and has brought life and “immortality” to light. “Immortality” = undecaying of the mortal body. His life is to appear in our mortal flesh…but we have to BELIEVE this.

    2 Timothy 1:10 KJV
    (10) But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

We are to change our minds…. “repent”….and turn back to Him so that our sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the FACE of the Lord.

Our sins are remembered in our mortal flesh. We are perishing away in our sins as the mortal body decays the “older” we get. “Aging” is decaying away to the grave because of sin.

But the life of Jesus (Christ within us) is to appear also in our mortal bodies (the hope of glory) and the sins are blotted out…..the times of “refreshing” shall come from the “face” of the Lord who is UNCHANGING. He shall have a “church” without spot or wrinkle….both inside and out.

    Acts 3:19-23 KJV
    (19) Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

He shall send Jesus Christ…as we are transformed into His image in the here and now…in our mortal flesh as His life appears.

    (20) And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

The “heaven” is the air in which words travel to our ears. Right now, we hear Jesus Christ preached in the “heaven”…the air in which His words of life and spirit travel. Some preach Him in contention...some sincerely....but nevertheless, He is preached.

We HEAR Jesus being PREACHED to our ears. Some hear and believe while others do not….but we all hear Jesus being preached in our ears no matter what. The “heaven” must receive Him….we hear His words of life and spirit in our ears right now. But we must BELIEVE and fulfill His words….the times of the restitution. His life can only be revealed in us if we hear and believe and DO what He says.

    (21) Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

We are to change our minds and be converted…renouncing the hidden things of dishonesty….not handling the Word of God deceitfully any longer.

    2 Corinthians 4:1-7 KJV
    (1) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
    (2) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

But if the good news of is “hid”…it is hid to them that are “lost”…that is, PERISHING away to the grave.

    (3) But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
    (4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
    (5) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
    (6) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

We have this treasure in “earthen vessels” so that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us. It is the power of God that keeps us alive in the here and now…and not our own fleshly efforts of obeying man’s commandments and doctrines which do not redeem us.

    (7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

We are to hear the Word of Truth the good news of our salvation and BELIEVE it so that we should be the praise of His glory who first trusted in Christ.

    Ephesians 1:12-14 KJV
    (12) That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

We are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession. We shall live to the coming age in which He shall gather all things in Him. We shall display His glory because we shall continue to LIVE in the here and now by the power of God who will keep us standing. This world that is obsessed with youth and life extension shall behold us holding forth the Word of life and will glorify God.

    (13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
    (14) Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

The earnest of our inheritance is put in our “earthen vessels”….we are sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise.

The evidence which is “open” is “eternal life”….as we hold for the Word of life to this dark world which shall become His kingdom. We are to be to the praise of His glory….for we shall “continue many days” because of having “eternal life”…in the here and now.

    Jeremiah 32:13-18 KJV
    (13) And I charged Baruch before them, saying,
    (14) Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.

We shall inherit the earth….for He shall gather all things in Him and we have an inheritance in this.

    (15) For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.
    (16) Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying,

There is nothing too hard for Him….as His power will keep us standing in the here and now displaying His glory.

    (17) Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

We are NOT redeemed by the traditions of our church fathers. Their things cause us to perish away to the grave.

    (18) Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,
