  • Coincidence or Warning?

Adapted from an article by John McTernan - June 13, 2001

From June 8 to June 9, 2001, one of the greatest rainfalls in the history of the United States happened in eastern Texas. In a 24 hour period, over 28 inches of rain fell in the Houston area. In fact, between June 5 and 11, three feet of rain fell on the area.

The rain was the product of Tropical Storm Allison, whose brief history will go down in Weather Bureau records as "weird"—to say the least. Allison formed within one day in the Gulf of Mexico, which is unusual. This storm then headed into Texas east of Houston and broke up as a storm system. The remnants drifted to the north of Houston and circled around the city before sliding back south to the Gulf. The storm then re-formed into a tropical storm, which began to unleash incredible torrents of rain starting Friday evening and into Saturday.

The destruction in Houston was catastrophic. An estimated 20,000 homes and businesses were destroyed or damaged, along with possibly 50,000 automobiles and trucks. The storm closed the city for three days resulting in the declaring of 28 counties in Texas and 14 parishes in Louisiana as disaster areas. The resulting damage will be close to $2 billion. This incredible storm did tremendous damage to southeast Texas.

Some say storms of this magnitude result from some national sinful event. However, in this particular case it was very interesting, as you will see if you continue to read this intriguing article.

President George W. Bush sent CIA director George Tenet to Israel to try to broker a cease-fire between the Israelis and the Palestinians and to implement the Mitchell Report. This was the Bush administration's first real involvement in the Middle East crisis. Tenet wanted Israel to stop building in the settlement areas.

Tenet arrived in the Middle East on Wednesday. On Friday, June 8, the Central Intelligence Agency director hosted talks between senior Israeli and Palestinian security officials in Ramallah, while Assistant Secretary of State William Burns met Palestinian President Yasser Arafat in the West Bank City. Exactly coinciding with these talks Allison re-formed as a tropical storm and began dumping this tremendous rain. The nightly news reported the flooding and the meetings in Israel together!

Texas is President Bush's home state. He was at his ranch in Crawford, Texas at the time of the flooding. He declared the 28 counties in Texas a federal disaster area while he was in Texas.

    Two Other Similar Events
This was the third time since the Madrid Peace Process began that a sitting president's state has been the location of a powerful, damaging storm that occurred at the exact time the president was involved with pressuring Israel over her Covenant land.

The first disaster literally destroyed President George H. Bush's home in Maine. This storm known as "The Perfect Storm" happened while President Bush was initiating the Madrid Peace process on October 31, 1991.

According to meteorologists, a "perfect storm" occurs once every 100 years. This storm formed in the North Atlantic and headed west for 1000 miles. The normal weather patterns at that latitude, in the United States are west to east, not east to west. This was one of the most powerful storms ever. It generated waves over 100 feet high, the highest waves ever reported in the North Atlantic Ocean. As the storm moved west, it sent 30 foot waves smashing at President Bush's home in Maine. This storm actually struck while the President was opening the Madrid Peace Process, dealing with the Covenant land of Israel. When the President returned home, he had to go to Maine to oversee the repair of his home.

In March of 1997, President Clinton invited Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat to the White House to discuss his "problems" with Jerusalem. While Arafat was en route, a powerful tornado storm ripped through seven states, with the worst damage in Arkansas, Kentucky and Ohio.

Clinton's home state of Arkansas bore the brunt of the storm with 13 counties declared a disaster area. This storm brought record flooding to the Ohio River. Clinton met with Arafat, and the headline of a New York Times front-page article on March 4, 1997, read, "President Clinton Rebukes Israel." The headline of the adjacent article read, "In Storms’ Wake: Grief and Shock." The report of Clinton's home state being devastated by tornadoes was on the front page of the N.Y. Times right next to the one of Clinton verbally attacking Israel.

The home states of all three of these presidents were affected by severe weather patterns simultaneously to their diplomatic dealings, which were putting pressure on the Covenant land agreements for the nation of Israel.

The enormous damage to President Bush's home in Maine by "The Perfect Storm" was eerie, coming just as he was directly responsible for initiating the Madrid Peace Process, which affected Israel’s land. All three of these storms were ferocious and record breaking. Both George W. Bush and Clinton had to declare disaster areas in their own states at the very time they were dealing with land giveaway in Israel.

A clear pattern has developed here. Was the Almighty warning these three presidents not to interfere with the Covenant land of Israel? Can all of this just be a coincidence? Alternatively, is the hand of THE MIGHTY ONE signaling a "Perfect Storm Warning?" Coincidence or design? You be the judge.

Is our CREATOR interested with the events in Israel? Is He interested in the relationship of the United States and Israel? Is He interested with the happenings on Planet Earth? Alternatively, does He even care what happens here?

    Real Prophecy.

...Sandy, it's all a coincidence. Earth history is too long, to say what is unusual, except for those things that happen in our own timeline. There have been weather events to aid extinction. There have been enough earthquakes to move continents apart by thousands of miles. Heart attacks and war and weather events, and even signs within the heavens, have always been with us. These things are hardly prophetic. Real prophecy should show some risk.

...The wolf and the lamb shall shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock; and dust shall be the serpents meat. They shall not hurt nor distroy in all my holy mountain, saith YHWH.

...Now this is real prophecy, with real risk.

        Due Respect!

        Hi Thummim,

Shame on you for your above comment about Arafat. Your judgment is certainly not in the spirit of righteousness. It is written:
        Exod 22:28
28 Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people. (KJV)
Arafat is a leader of his people. He has tirelessly worked for the betterment of his people with little earthly reward at the risk of his own life against a government that at best would only recognize his people as being second class citizens in their own land. You are free not to agree with Arafat. You are free to fight against him if that is your desire, but you should give him the respect that he has earned.

        Sincerely, Spying

          Hi Spying
You are using this scripture out of context.

It is not a generalized statement but specifically to Israel. If you take it out of context as you have done and apply it to just any leader or ruler then you can also apply it to Satan. See the results based on your comment:
          • Satan is a leader of his people. He has worked tirelessly with little earthly reward at the risk of his own life against a government that only recognize his people as being evil in their own land. You are free not to agree with Satan. You are free to fight against him if that is your desire, but you should give him the respect that he has earned.

          Jude 9
Michael the archangel, when contending with the Diabolo/Devil (supposedly the same as Satan)...dared not bring a judgment of blasphemy, but said, Let Kurios/the Lord rebuke you.

          John 14:30
...the ruler of this world (supposedly Satan/Devil) is coming...
According to your comment we are free to fight against Satan/Devil if that is our desire, but as RULER of this world we should give him the respect that he has earned.

...Arafat was a terrorist before he became the head of an unrecognised and nonexistant country. You give him more credit than he is due. Also YHWH curses those who curse his people. YHWH hates false god's and asks that his people distroy their names. (Deut.12:4) "The gods" should be interpreted, "Eloheem." It refers to YHWH himself. The NIV translates it this way, "Do not blaspheme GD or curse the ruler of your people." Arafat hasn't done anything to make himself worthy of my respect.

              Overcoming Evil With Good!

              Hi Sandy,

You are correct about the letter of Exodus 22:28. Specifically, this commandment was given to the Children of Israel. However, if you examine again my comment:
Your judgment is certainly not in the spirit of righteousness.
You will notice that I have indicated that Thummim's comment was not according to the spirit of the commandment. I nowhere did say that Thummim's comment was against the letter of Exodus 22:28.

I am glad that you recognize that Satan is the ruler of this world. All the governments of this world are under his/her authority. Are you implying by your comments that the government of Israel is not under the authority of Satan?

I believe that Satan and his cohorts destroyed the unity of ELOHIM. Before the rebellion, they were also ELOHIM, of the Family of YAHWEH. That is why whenever they are reviled, it is blasphemy (Jude 9). Specifically, I believe that Satan was in a subordinate or feminine position with respect to YAHWEH, and I also believe that the specific sin of Satan's rebellion was an unwillingness to reproduce or bear children.

The Apostles of the First Assembly in no uncertain terms teach that Believers must be respectful of all authority even the authority of Satan. We must not seek to overcome our enemies with disrespect and mockery. We overcome our enemies by doing good to them, by treating them with love. Do you remember when I indicated to you that I might establish a leper colony and make you my charter member? Do you remember your reaction? When I read your reaction, I knew that I had sinned against you by that proposal. It would not have been the right thing to do, and that is why I did not do it. The establishment of a leper colony would have been against the spirit of Exodus 22:28.

              Sincerely, Spying

                Short Memories!

                Hi Thummim,

I believe that YAHWEH has entered a New Covenant with both Jew and Gentile. All those that enter that relationship or new covenant, they are now blessed to be the people of YAHWEH. I myself have been so blessed. Believers believe in doing good to all. We work to bless all through the teaching and preaching of the Gospel. We do not believe in cursing others save for those who would deliberately corrupt the Gospel of Messiah YAHWEH.

If my memory serves me correctly, did not the State of Israel receive its birth through rebellion and terrorism? Was not a hotel blown up by a terrorist who later became a prime minister of the State of Israel? Leaders and all in authority deserve our respect, even those who in their past planted bombs and killed innocent people. Why speak evil of and run down with your words the very leader you approach in the hope of making peace? Arafat has authority or the Jews would not be seeking to make peace through him. That being the case, then I say again, that you should treat him with respect.

                Sincerely, Spying

                  Short Memories?

...Spying, Arafat doesn't even have the support of his own people. Peace must first be desired. Arafat has had many opportunies to make peace. But he doesn't want peace. He wants land. And he doesn't want JEWs on that land. He also wants as much of Jerusalem as he can get. The short memory, belongs to you. At the moment that Israel was born, Arafat and his cohorts decided that the JEWish people shouldn't be given any of the land of Israel. The JEWish people are not the fool's that you would make them. They are well aware of who Arafat is. Peace comes at a very high price to Israel. Give Arafat, what he wants, and you have peace with him. What has Arafat put up to gain peace? He takes Israel's cake, divides it up, and offers them a portion of it. I prefer peace through strength. May YHWH make Israel ten times stronger then the enemies that surround them. Let war with Israel be war with America. Strength, Strength, Strength. That's my formula for peace. The JEWish people have given up enough JEWish blood to their enemies desires, in seeking peace. Let the enemies of Israel, do some bleeding for a change. Peace will come, when hostilities become to costly for Israel's enemies to maintain. What happened to YHWH's command to go in and possess the land? You would make a strange JEW.

                    Hi Thummin,

YAHWEH is my strength, and the practice of HIS righteousness is the way to peace. America has no strength, and she knows not the way of peace!

The real enemies of the LAND are sin and death, and, yes, you can see them bleeding profusely when you gaze at the Cross of Messiah Yahushua.

I am indeed a strange JEW!

The strength to keep what is yours

...Spying, if America had no strength, you would be paying tribute to any number of countries. Who knows what language you would be speaking, as of now. It's good to be on top. What is ours, we get to keep. It is most often YHWH's way, to aid ones victory rather then to provide it. Israel found an occupied land when they arrived from Egypt to claim the land promised as their inheritance. Strength was required to "possess" the land. It had to be claimed, battle after battle. You can "panzy" over to your enemy and give him what he wants, or you can try to find enough strength to keep what he desires from you. Strength is a better option. If you are strong enough, he may decide that he doesn't want what is yours. In this way, strength provides peace.

                      ....Michael

I agree with you Thummim. One has to be strong and wise to be victorious. And this strength and wisdom can be used for good or evil. If the victor is good/upright then there is happiness.

Interesting statement and it makes me wonder, just like I wonder every time I see the gold crosses hanging around peoples necks, and when I see crosses with or without the christ. There are a couple of reason why I wonder about peoples fixation concerning the CROSS.
                        • The scriptures do not say that he was hung on a cross, but on a stake or a tree.

He is supposedly raised, but people like you keep him on the cross.

The cross as a symbol existed long before the Greek Scriptures (NT) and Christianity.
                        The Hebrew Scriptures teach that:
                        • no one can atone for the sins of another.

The sins of Israel are forgiven by YHUH because they turn back to him with their whole heart, not because a messiah is hung on a stake or tree or cross.

                            Michael,
God may have given them strength where was he when they were loosing? Now as evidence of that loosing we have history such as the Colosseum.

As for the initial post on this thread, it seems to me that it would be much more of a sign if a disaster of that proportion happened everytime the talks with Israel have been going on.

                              Giants In Our Land!

                              Hi Sandy,

How I long for you to be able to see the Promised LAND as it has been shown to me. The physical promised land that the Jews and the Muslims are fighting over right now is actually owned by the Seed of Abraham and by Abraham himself. The Jews and the Muslims and Christians will continue to fight over this land. Many will die, and someone will win the physical land through force or strength of arms. Then the winners will grow old and die. When the winners die, they pass the land to their children. The children live on the land, and then they die. Eventually, a generation comes along who does not value the land. They fight and lose the land to a new set of winners who will also grow old and die. This goes on and on and on. The land has been inhabited by many, but in the resurrection who owns the land?

Sandy, man is dust, dirt. Man is land. Each of us have been blessed to inhabit our land for a short period of time. We die, and then our spirit leaves our land. We are forced to give up the precious possession which has been given to each of us, our bodies, our land.

Can our spirits come back to our land? Yes, they can! There is a way that it can happen, and that is precisely what Messiah Yahushua YAHWEH is all about. He is a trail blazer. We can discover and see how to regain our land through watching and following him. If we duplicate his effort, we will also regain our land.

Now, Sandy, there are giants in our land. They are big. They are huge, and they have to be overcome. We have to fight them. We have to make war with them, and we have to defeat them in order to win our land. Two of these giants are sin and death. They appear undefeatable, but Messiah attacked both of them head on, and both of them were defeated. These giants are at the Cross, and Messiah is fighting them one on one. At the Cross, Messiah defeated death though death's own sword. Now, we must learn to do the same. When we do, we also inherit the promised LAND!

                              Sincerely, Spying
