Changing Mindset!
Hi Lucy, I can agree with you that overcoming is what it's all about. That was the plan FROM the beginning, even BEFORE the foundation of the world. Overcoming, and having our sins go into remission, is why Yeshua's blood was shed for us. But that is not the case with a substitutionalist who can believe with their whole heart that Elohim punished Yeshua just so that He could forgive them, and then they die in that delusion. Your belief that one MUST change and be conformed to the Image of His Son is correct, that is if they want any chance of salvation, as they work it out with "fear and trembling," but most substitutionalists would call that a "works" orientated salvation and rebel against it just as you rebel against what Spying and I say. Here's the bottom line Lucy. The mindset you have against the Law of Elohim (Moses' Law) was NOT the mindset of the Apostles. They loved Moses, and they loved the Law, and they used Moses to preach the Gospel and the Truth as these Scriptures do prove and indicate:
Mal 4:4 "Remember the law of Moses My servant, even the statutes and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel. (This is the last admonition we have from Yahweh in the OT.)
Luk 16:29-31 "But Abraham *said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.' (30) "But he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!' (31) "But he said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.'"
Luk 24:27...32 Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures....32 They said to one another, "Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was opening the Scriptures to us?" (Opening up MOSES!)
Luk 24:44-45 Now He said to them, "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled." (45) Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,
Joh 5:46-47 "For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. (47) "But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"
Act 26:19-23 "So, King Agrippa, I did not prove disobedient to the heavenly vision, (20) but kept declaring both to those of Damascus first, and also at Jerusalem and then throughout all the region of Judea, and even to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to Elohim, performing deeds appropriate to repentance. (21) "For this reason some Jews seized me in the temple and tried to put me to death. (22) "So, having obtained help from Elohim, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place; (23) that the Messiah was to suffer, and that by reason of His resurrection from the dead He would be the first to proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles."
Act 28:23 When they had set a day for Paul, they came to him at his lodging in large numbers; and he was explaining to them by solemnly testifying about the kingdom of Elohim and trying to persuade them concerning Yeshua, from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning until evening.
2Co 3:15-16 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; (16) but whenever a person turns to the Master, the veil is taken away.
And here's the clincher Lucy. Deceivers and twisters of the Law try to make it appear that True Believers are AGAINST the Law and AGAINST Moses, and will falsely accuse with allegations to that effect. They did it with Stephen and they did it with Paul, and now you are doing it with Spying and myself. Stop falsely accusing against Moses and the Law Lucy!
Act 6:11-15 Then they secretly induced men to say, "We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and against Elohim." (12) And they stirred up the people, the elders and the scribes, and they came up to him and dragged him away and brought him before the Council. (13) They put forward false witnesses who said, "This man incessantly speaks against this holy place and the Law; (14) for we have heard him say that this Nazarene, Jesus, will destroy this place and alter the customs which Moses handed down to us." (15) And fixing their gaze on him, all who were sitting in the Council saw his face like the face of an angel. Do you see that Lucy? False witnesses said Stephen was speaking against Moses and the Customs. If they were truly false witnesses, then that would in and of itself PROVE that Stephen didn't speak against Moses OR the Customs...does you logical mind grasp that Lucy? And the same thing happened to Paul:
Act 21:20-24 And when they heard it they began glorifying God; and they said to him, "You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the Law; (21) and they have been told about you, that you are teaching all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children nor to walk according to the customs. (22) "What, then, is to be done? They will certainly hear that you have come. (23) "Therefore do this that we tell you. We have four men who are under a vow; (24) take them and purify yourself along with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads; and all will know that there is nothing to the things (false charges) which they have been told about you, but that you yourself also walk orderly, keeping the Law.
Both Stephen and Paul were FALSELY accused of teaching AGAINST the Law and the Customs of Moses, and yet you don't want to see or believe the fact that these were FALSE WITNESSES and FALSE CHARGES. You would rather believe the FALSE WITNESSES instead of the actual TRUTH about how a True Believer can become MORE Zealous to keep the Law AFTER their Faith has been established. And that was the HOPE of the Holy Spirit and the Council of Acts 15 when James only troubled the Gentiles turning to Elohim with those four NECESSARY COMMANDS of Moses, BECAUSE the Gentiles would be HEARING Moses READ EACH AND EVERY Sabbath as they fellowshiped with Jewish Believers. Plain and simple Lucy. So your mindset needs to change with how you despise and hate Moses and Elohim's Law. Blessings in The Name, ImAHebrew
