Don't you think that, if there was one fundamental doctrine upon which the "Christian" world could agree, it would be the Ten Commandments? I mean, how much more basic can you get? And, yet, there are three versions of which I am aware:
        Catholic
        Lutheran
        And one more . . .

Do you know the differences between the three? Could there be others? How do you suppose this happened? Surely, Yah only has one version. Which one do you prefer?

Thank you for inviting me to join your forum.

I am aware that there are different versions of the Ten Commandments (Ten Words), but personally, my main focus is in the Hebrew Scriptures version at Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5.

Sandy,

I think that everyone who teaches that YAH gave Moses Ten Commandments claim the Hebrew Scriptures as their source.

The Catholics seem to have used Deuteronomy 5:

Both of the versions above have the appearance of following the Hebrew Scriptures. Can you see the "sleight of hand" used by the Catholics and Lutherans? Do you know their motivation?

Greetings Hyssop
I am not sure if I know what you mean by slight of hand. I do note that they offer a condensed version, which leaves out important information, such as: "the seventh day is the sabbath".

You have given us an excellent example, but I wish to comment on one thing in the Catholic and Luthern section. You have correctly used Elohim and his name, but they do not. They use LORD and GOD.

Hi Everyone,

Thought that I should perhaps refresh the look of this forum.

Both Catholics and Lutherans like to use aids to worship in their ritualistic approach to life completely contrary to what the Fountain of Life has commanded. So, let's just ignore the commandment. I mean who pays attention to what YAHWEH has actually said? Surely, one billion Catholics can't all be wrong!
Exod 20:4-5
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:.... (KJV)I wonder if YAHWEH is serious about HIS LAW?

Sincerely, Ab

are there because the LIFE AND THE REALITY IS NOT...
This Religious man is touchy feely........the carnal 'eye' has to 'see''...
.
The matrix religion cannot bear the full spiritual light of the Truth..namely
''THE JUST SHALL WALK BY FAITH''.

AIDS... a disease that destroys
AIDS...graven images / rituals.... destroys in more ways than one:mad:

I have to confess i really despise their ''touchy feely'' religions.but.. i quickly add this ''THERE BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD GOES I''....he had great mercy upon me and my febble cries to be free. AMEN
